Vihiga, having lost the title last season to Thika Queens are looking to dethrone the holder and do so in style, in an unbeaten run if their own since Thika did it for their title. “The entire team is highly motivated and nit only are we targeting to win the next two matches to complete the first leg unbeaten, we are chasing a similar run in the second leg. We have two trick6 fixtures remaining in the first leg, against Kangemi Ladies and Thika Queens and we have to be careful with the two,” offered Nyamunyamu. As we celebrate International Women’s Day 2022 today,We at @Vihigaqueens pray that this day bring loads of opportunities&appreciation to all women who play soccer out there.Meanwhile, have a look at the 2021-2022 @FKF_WPL Standings as at 07/03/2022.#VihigaQueens#LegacyMakers pic.twitter.com/7ByjsOEdHF— Vihiga Queens FC (@Vihigaqueens) March 8, 2022 The team’s 165th ranking with 85 points follows the club’s stellar performance at last year’s CAF Zonal Qualifiers (CECAFA) and TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League in Nairobi Kenya and Cairo, Egypt respectively.
