Bandari FC head coach Anthony Kimani says his side will build on Wednesday’s 2-0 FKF Premier League (FKF-PL) win over FC Talanta FC.The Dockers ended their nine-match winless run with a win over cash-strapped Talanta. Umaru Kasumba and Felly Mulumba scored the two goals to give Kimani his first win as Bandari’s interim coach and ease pressure for the Dockers. In his post-match interview, Kimani expressed his delight at finally garnering three points in a league match. He added that the win will bring the much-needed confidence to his team that is largely composed of young upcoming talents as a good number of the seasoned pros are sidelined with injuries.”We had played a lot of games without winning, at least the youngsters will now play with more confidence. The victory is the foundation we needed to lay,” he stated.FM1️⃣9️⃣ Goal 🥅⚽️ @BandariOfficial #goals pic.twitter.com/orAzGJKkwZ— Felly Mulumba (@fellyMulumba2) March 9, 2022 Ugandan striker Kasumba who scored four minutes into the game has been struggling with injuries for the last couple of months and has missed a big chunk of the 2021/22 season and Kimani says his goal after such a rough patch is a boost for him and the club.“Kasumba has had a long-term injury, so his goal today is very important to him and us,” he added.Kimani took over as Bandari’s interim boss a month ago when the club opted to part ways with Rwandese tactician, Andre Casa Mbungo.
