Ambani reveals areas that Wazito have to improve in

Wazito FC head coach Fred Ambani says they will have to address goalkeeping and defensive issues heading into their Saturday league action against KCB at the Kasarani Annex.Ambani’s charges will be seeking to bounce back from Tuesday’s 3-0 defeat in the hands of Tusker when they meet last season’s league runner-up who have been inconsistent in the league this campaign. KCB picked a 2-0 win in the first leg when the two teams met.Ahead of the Annex showdown, Ambani admits that Tusker harmed them due to goalkeeping and defensive issues which he intends to address ahead of the match against Zedekiah Otieno’s charges. He believes that the players will respond positively to what they have worked on in training this week.“The issues we have to address include goalkeeping and defending in the wide areas, because those are the areas that Tusker used to hurt us. We have tried to rectify that in training, I believe that the players have taken instruction and given that they learned from loss against Tusker, I believe that they will take instructions better,” he told the club’s media.Coach Ambani and Rooney Onyango speak ahead of tomorrow’s game against KCB#Wazito4life pic.twitter.com/oxUhf71VBK— Wazito Football Club (@wazitofc) March 11, 2022 He added that the players are determined to perform well in order to lift the team from its current position in the table. Wazito are 15th in the log with 20 points after 21 rounds of league assignments.“The boys have trained well after that defeat to Tusker FC because they understand that we are not in a good position on the table. The reaction has been positive, we are full house we do not have any serious injury concern in the team, we have a couple of minor problems which the players can handle,” he stated. On the match against the Bankers, the former Kenyan international said the target is to garner maximum points from the clash.“I expect a good performance tomorrow, I believe that they will go out there and give their best. The mindset is good and I believe that they are going to give us three points tomorrow,” he concluded. The match will kick off at 3 PM.
