Mbaraki double-header welcomes NSL Round 16

Two matches are set to be played in the National Super League on Friday afternoon as the second-tier league in the country enters the 16th round, with the other 8 matches for the round set for Saturday.Coastal heroes will host Muhoroni Youth in the first match of the weekend at Mbaraki Grounds starting at 1 PM with Mombasa Elite and MCF playing at the same venue in the second match of the day at 3 PM.Muhoroni Youth are yet to lose a game this year and will be salivating for three points on the road against a side that has won only three in 10 matches that they have played this year.A win for Muhoroni will see them dislodge Murang’a Seal into the third-place awaiting Saturday’s results while a win for Coastal Heroes could propel them to ninth albeit temporarily.Ahead of their match, MCF’s striker Ezekiel Okare who is currently on 8 goals is upbeat that they will get back to winning ways after stringing one-all draws in all their last four matches.”We are ready for the game and I believe we will get a win in this one. We have been giving our all lately but the win has been evading us but we have continued to work hard and I am confident today the result will favor us,” Okare told Mozzart Sport.MCF are 10th on the log on top of an eight-match unbeaten streak and a win in the match would see them move up the standings up to sixth or even fifth depending on the margin of their win and the result in the other match of the day.Mombasa Elite come into the match on the back of consecutive wins after putting an end to their four-match losing streak earlier and will be having their eyes the fifth place with a win.
