A quick fire second half goals helped KCB overcome Wazito FC 2-0 in an FKF Premier League match staged at the Kasarani Annex on Saturday afternoon.The first opportunity of the encounter went Wazito’s way in the 7th minute via a set-piece. Tyson Otieno curled a freekick from the edge of the area but David Okello on KCB goal ensured that he did not hit the top left corner.The Bankers looked enterprising on the break but they never created any meaningful chances upfront. Wazito had two good chances in the 17th and 18th minutes. First it was Tyson whose shot was blocked, Amos Asembeka’s take on the rebound narrowly went wide. Fidel Origa then tried his luck from long range but Okello was equal to the task.KCB had a rare chance in the 30th minute, but John Mwangi failed to direct his header home from a prime position.The Bankers made a change three minutes before the break in a bid to boost their forward that was not causing Wazito any problems. He took off captain Simon Abuko for Henry Onyango.KCB made another change at the interval, Derrick Otanga was introduced for Sydney Logale. The start of the second half was slow with very few chances of either side.Against the run of play, KCB got two quick fire goals. The first was a Derrick Otanga finish from a Mohamed Kilume delivery, two minutes later Henry Onyango doubled the lead with a thunderbolt from the edge of the area.KCB continues to raid after getting the two-goal cushion in search of more goals. James Mazembe, Otanga and Onyango looked dangerous going forward.Otanga had another chance to get a brace in the 86th minute but he missed a sitter with only Wazito keeper Bixente Otieno to beat.In the end, the Bankers ended their five-match winless run.
