A dramatic injury-time equaliser scored by Alexis Sánchez rescued a point for Inter Milan at Torino but the Nerazzurri will be far from satisfied. Simone Inzaghi’s men are now four points adrift of their arch-rivals AC Milan given that they won just one of their last six league outings. After the disappointment of exiting the UEFA Champions League in midweek, Inter were looking to respond with a bang and they needed a fast start. On the other end, Torino are famous for opening up their matches with intensity – the Bulls opened the scoring in nine of their previous 10 clashes on home turf.Alas, history repeated itself as the hosts struck – the black-and-blue failed to clear their lines from a corner that allowed Gleison Bremer to stab home from close range. The Brazilian has been linked with the Giuseppe Meazza side for a while now and ironically he was the one to put Inter behind. The guests needed a response, but they needed a fine stop from Samir Handanović to prevent the lead from growing – Andrea Belotti’s fierce low drive was destined for the bottom corner. Inter Milan remained dangerous through set-pieces as Hakan Çalhanoğlu’s free-kick from the left was driven goalwards by Lautaro Martínez, forcing an incredible reaction save from Etrit Berisha. The favourites were out of luck on numerous occasions.Inzaghi made two substitutes at half-time and they nearly paid immediate dividends. Federico Dimarco’s sublime free-kick delivery was headed over by Matias Vecíno. The Italian defender was then close to finding the back of the net himself after being picked out by Edin Džeko, however Berisha went to work again made another fine stop to deny the effort.Atalanta and Roma can forget about the Champions LeagueAs they clung onto their precious lead, Torino were having to withstand a barrage of pressure. Džeko had a massive chance but his close-range header was uncharacteristically inaccurate. The hosts remained dangerous though – Josip Brekalo showed as he rounded Handanović before his goal-bound shot was blocked by Robin Gosens. The Inter captain produced a diving save to deny Armando Izzo’s header moments later. In the 89th minute, Džeko had a glorious chance to level the contest but the Bosnian couldn’t keep his header down from four yards. Just four minutes later, Inter would find an equaliser as substitute Sánchez finally breached Berisha’s defences with a finish off the post.Inter were held to a fourth consecutive draw in Serie A for the first time since 2004 while on the other hand Ivan Jurić’s men will be gutted to have buckled under the pressure.SERIE A – ROUND 29SaturdaySpezia – Cagliari 2-0 (0-0)/Erlic 55, Manaj 74/Salernitana – Sassuolo 2-2 (1-2)/Bonazzoli 8, Djuric 81 – Scamacca 20, Traore 30/Sampdoria – Juventus 1-3 (0-2)/Yoshida 23 og, Morata 34 pen, 88 – Morata 84 og/Milan – Empoli 1-0 (1-0)/Kalulu 19/SundayFiorentina – Bologna 1-0 (0-0)/Torreira 70/Verona – Napoli 2-1 (1-0)/Faraoni 77 – Osimhen 14, 71/Atalanta – Genoa 0-0Udinese – Roma 1-1 (1-0)/Molina 15 – Pellegrini 90+4/Torino – Inter 1-1 (1-0)/Bremer 12 – Sanchez 90+3/Monday22:45: (1.33) Lazio (5.20) Venezia (9.00)*** odds are subject to change***
