Barca plans many signings, but have problems extending their own players

Barcelona signed Ferran Torres and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Barcelona is brining thee free agents in June: Andreas Christensen, Franck Kessie, Noussair Mazraoui and Cesar Azpilicueta. Barcelona will try to buy Adama Traore from his contract at Wolves. Barcelona is working on a deal to sign Erling Haaland. These are the current Barcelona headlines for day and weeks now. And everybody reads them, and everybody are happy. Or almost everybody. But how anybody who loves Barcelona can be unhappy when they see that their club is looking for more strength next season? Well, we know at least two of them: Ronald Araujo and Gavi. Barca will be a formidable force next season! Kessie is going to Camp Nou – and so is ChristensenTwo current Barcelona first team players are vary valued by coach Xavi and are seen as the future of the club. They have also accumulated 32 and 33 appearances for Barca this season, which is another indicator that the Spanish tactician is counting on them. But, their contract is up in 2023, which means Barca needs to extend them this June, otherwise, they must sell them, avoiding the same scenario with Dembele, who is about to walk away as a free agent. But, according to Marca, contract talks have been going on for months now, and there is no end in sigh. Off course, the reason is money, and that’s one of the reasons why Araujo and Gavi are not so happy when they read about Barca’s potential arrivals. (2.00) JUVENTUS (3.50) VILLAREAL (4.10)The delay in reaching an agreement is largely due to the fact that the players feel somewhat aggrieved. They assume that Barca is going through a bad financial moment and accept that they will have to make sacrifices. On the other hand, they read about the upcoming players, and see that they are offered a very generous contracts. For example, Frank Kessie would earn around 6.5 million euros per year, while Araujo is offered less, and he is expected to accept Barca’s offer, even thou he already has offers of around 8 million euros from Premier League clubs. Gavi is also expected to make sacrifices as Barca is in the financial turmoil, yet he sees that Ferrando Torres was bought for 55 million euros. There will be no easy solutions for these players, and Barcelona will have to be more persuasive, or find a way to offer more money to their loyal soldiers.
