Nzoia Sugar FC head coach Salim Babu has urged his side not to get carried away with their recent fine run and instead focus on moving away from the danger zone in the FKF Premier League. The Millers have shaken off early struggles and have won three of their last four matches in the league. Since he was appointed at the end of January as Ibrahim Shikanda’s replacement, the millers have not lost a league match and have managed wins against solid sides like Kariobangi Sharks and Posta Rangers.JUST IN!!!Nzoia Sugar FC defender Salim Hamisi has resumed to training and might be available for selection in their upcoming away fixture against Vihiga Bullets FC .#FKFPL #kenyanfootball #NSL #ScoreCrunchesKe pic.twitter.com/KQXwkWBCH1— ScoreCrunchesKe (@ke_score) March 15, 2022 Despite the fine and the inevitable move towards safety, Babu is not getting carried away. He maintains that they have to remain focused and work towards full safety.”We are on a good run but we are not off the woods yet, we have to keep improving both at individual level and as a team. We have to keep winning until we are mathematically safe from the drop but so far I can say that I am happy with the boys, they have been showing good fighting spirit in games and I can only urge them to continue with the same spirit, ” he stated. On Thursday, they travel to Bukhungu to play relegation battling Vihiga Bullets and the tactician anticipates a tough match against the league newbies.”It is a tough outing just like all other games, I don’t think there’s an easy match in this league, all opponents are tough. They are also fighting to move up in the table and I think this will be a closely fought game but I believe if we implement our play well, we will emerge victorious,” he added. The match starts at 3 PM.
