Muguna features in Azam’s slim win over Namungo

Kenyan midfield maestro Kenneth Muguna featured for his side Azam on Wednesday evening as the ice cream makers returned to winning ways following their 1-2 comeback victory against Namungo FC in a Tanzanian Ligi Kuu Premier League match played at the Ilulu Stadium.Prior to the clash, Muguna’s side had not recorded any victory in their last three games as they had lost twice and drawn the other clash leaving them desperate to arrest that record against the home side that had similarly not won in their last three encounters (L1 D2).#NBCPL Kwa mara ya kwanza Azam FC wanapata ushindi ugenini dhidi ya Namungo FCFT: Namungo 1-2 Azam #AzamSports1HD #NBCPremierLeague #NBCPL #NBCPLUpdates #LigiKuuYaNBC #NamungoFC #AzamFC #NamungoAzam pic.twitter.com/i6mkHWoQHn— Azam TV (@azamtvtz) March 16, 2022 However, Azam’s victory chasing mission in the encounter was dealt an early blow as the team found themselves trailing inside the opening two minutes, Mohammed Issa latching on early nerves from the away side as he fired a low shot that rifled past the keeper and into the back of the net to give Namungo a 1-0 lead. After shaking off their sluggish start in the game, Azam managed to restore parity twenty minutes later as Zimbabwean international Prince Dube opened his account for the season when he fired past the keeper after his clever run behind was fed by a defense splitting through pass from Rodgers Kola.#NBCPL Goli la kwanza kwa Azam; Goli la Kwanza kwa Prince Dube kwenye ligi msimu huu.HT’: Namungo 1-2 Azam (Mo Banka 2’ / Prince Dube 22’, Kader 35’)LIVE #AzamSports1HD#NBCPremierLeague #NBCPL #NBCPLUpdates #LigiKuuYaNBC #NamungoFC #AzamFC #NamungoAzam pic.twitter.com/oJEwqav5Fo— Azam TV (@azamtvtz) March 16, 2022 With ten minutes left before the first half break, Ismael Kada got the second goal that thrust Azam into a 1-2 lead at the break.
