Posta Rangers tactician Salim Ali has explained what exactly transpired in their match against Nzoia Sugar on Sunday at Ruaraka Grounds that saw him make two changes in the first half.Michael Apudo and Victor Majid were withdrawn after only 36 minutes and their places were taken up by Sammy Meja and Cavin Odongo at a period when Nzoia were dominating proceedings.Salim, who took over the mantle at Posta Rangers from Stanley Okumbi, revealed that the first half change was aimed at injecting more tempo in the game and believes it worked for his side despite the slim loss.”It was a tactical sub. We wanted to increase the tempo on our left side which was a bit slow. The change worked because Meja brought a lot of impact and created numerous chances as an individual so it was a good change for us. The last subs we made were perhaps desperate subs and did not work the way we wanted because there was no impact from them,” Salim said.Nzoia shock Posta Rangers at Ruaraka to move out of the relegation zoneThe former Mathare United tactician has implored his side to take all teams with the same seriousness, noting that it seems like his charges are becoming reluctant when they play a team that is below them on the log.”We need to work hard because when we play with a team that is below us on the table we tend to lose our concentration. When we played against Nairobi City Stars and Kakamega Homeboyz we had very good concentration. It is like we are despising them before matches and we need to work on that,” he added.
