Muyoti reveals two areas of concern amid City Stars rough patch

Nairobi City Stars have endured a rough patch recently, winning one of their last four games, a run that has seen them lose more ground in the race to win the league title. To arrest the poor run, coach Nicholas Muyoti is looking at fixing his leaking defence as well as fine-tune the forward line before the league resumes.Simba wa Nairobi went down 1-0 at the hands of Bandari FC on Thursday to trail league leaders Kakamega Homeboyz by eleven points.🌕 | Fulltime in Mbaraki#CityStars #BANNCS pic.twitter.com/JWpt9dzi7B— Official Nairobi City Stars Fc (@NrbCityStars) March 17, 2022 Muyoti admitted that his defence which has failed to keep a clean sheet in the last four games and an attack that has not been finding the back of the net regularly will need his attention.“In the coming matches I want to address conceding, we really have to look at our defence and how we will change one or two things. We have two weeks before our next match. We also need to create more scoring chances then I know we will be okay for the remaining matches of the season,” said Muyoti. The loss saw City Stars fail to reclaim the second spot from Tusker FC who settled for a barren draw against KCB on Tuesday with Gor Mahia chasing hot on Simba wa Nairobi’s heels. The former Nzoia Sugar head coach credited the Dockers for an impressive game but bemoaned the long travelling hours after their last away clash to Vihiga Bullets in Kakamega and playing Bandari in Mombasa after four days.Mwisho wa mchezo. We did not create a lot of chances in the game and their used one of their chances to score.I expected something from the game being that we won our last game but I’m happy with the spirit of the boys, travelling from Kakamega to here (Mombasa) which is a long-distance,” added Muyoti.
