Wazito FC defender Rooney Onyango says they will be out to tame Gor Mahia on Saturday when the two teams face off at the Narok County Stadium in a bid to move away from the red zone in the FKF Premier League. The Fred Ambani-led team currently are in the playoff spot and are five points adrift of Nzoia Sugar who occupy the 15th position in the log. They have also lost their last two games to Tusker FC and KCB and the match against the record league champions is one they will be out to garner maximum points from.Ahead of the Saturday showdown, Onyango says his team has to give its best against the Andreas Spier-led team. He added that they need to start winning soon in order to move away from the red zone in the log.“We understand that we are not in a good position in the league and we have to work, we have to give our best to start picking points starting with the game against Gor Mahia going forward. We do not have the luxury of matches because they are getting fewer with each passing match day,” the marauding right-back stated. Our next league assignment against Gor Mahia will be at the Narok County Stadium.#Wazito4life pic.twitter.com/gUctyrcyYE— Wazito Football Club (@wazitofc) March 15, 2022 On tomorrow’s game, the defender says that they have prepared well all week but warns that they have to produce their A-game in order to pick a result against Gor who will equally be seeking to bounce back after last weekend’s 2-0 defeat to Kenya Police FC in Kisumu.“We have prepared well for the match against Gor Mahia, the motivation is to get out of our current position in the table and we are going to give our best to get a positive result.
