Kenyatta hoping for veteran midfielder’s return for Sofapaka game

FC Talanta head coach Ken Kenyatta is hoping to have midfielder Barrack Odhiambo back before their next league match against Sofapaka scheduled for 2nd April at the Ruaraka Grounds. The veteran midfielder was forced off with an injury on Wednesday when the two teams met in the first leg at the Kasarani Annex, a match that Talanta came from a goal down to beat Batoto ba Mungu 2-1 and in the process ended their four-match winless run.The win however came at a cost as Odhiambo, who has been a cog in that midfield was forced off with a foot injury in the second half, and Kenyatta, who has worked with the player since their Ushuru FC days hopes that the player will be back after the international break. Talanta’s next game will once again be against Sofapaka.FC Talanta head coach Ken Kenyatta had some words of motivation to the match winner against Sofapaka, Kevintom Machika. Here is what Kenyatta had to say about the 17-year old.https://t.co/a49tnAJT3x— Mozzart Sport Kenya (@MozzartSportKe) March 18, 2022 “My midfielder Barrack Odhiambo picked an injury against Sofapaka and he will have time to recover before our next game and maybe in that aspect the break is a blessing. He is an important player for us and we hope to have him back for our next match,” the tactician said.Kenyatta is however not a fan of these breaks and wishes that the league would go on during this break. He says the stoppages hinder the team’s continuity.“It is a disadvantage because when the players are not active, it dents that continuity. It is easier when you are training and preparing for games but when the team is just training it presents some challenges,” he added.
