KCB’s Samuel Mwangi seeks to add scoring touch to his game

KCB’s creative midfielder Samuel Mwangi is looking to add a scoring dimension to his play after bagging his maiden goal of the 2021/2022 Football Kenya Federation Premier League in match day 21 of the campaign.In the match against Kenya Police, the diminutive midfielder scored in the second half to salvage a point for the Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno coached side as the two teams played to a 1-1 draw.👏| Samuel Mwangi has been feted as the Most Disciplined player!#Believe #LionHearted 🦁 pic.twitter.com/Fh3YYJlDum— KCB Football Club 😷 (@KCBFootball) September 8, 2021 Following his first goal of the season heroics, Mwangi, who revealed some sort of unburdened pressure, expressed hope that his first goal of the campaign will be exactly what the doctor ordered for as he intends to use it as a building block to help his side fight for the title as the season heads towards the business end with only eleven round of matches left to go.“I feel scoring this first goal will keep me motivated towards getting more goals and achieving more as a player. As a team also, we are still aiming to win the league and we believe it is still possible to go for it in the remaining rounds. We just need to ensure we stay consistent if we are to achieve our ambitions,” the player told Mozzart Sport.Seven Kenyan wonder kids in European academiesAs things stand, the last season runners up have dropped to fifth place on 37 points, twelve behind current leaders Kakamega Homeboyz after a challenging start to 2022 that has seen the club only manage to get three wins in the twelve league matches played (6D 3L).With the league season currently on an initially planned two-week break, Mwangi and the Bankers have a chance to brace themselves up for the final run in to the campaign. They will face off with reigning champions Tusker when the league resumes.
