One wealthy Gunner: Saka offered a bigger contract

There are not so many youth academy players in Arsenal’s senior team this season, but they want to keep those that they have for a long time. Emile Smith Rowe’s future was resolved last summer by extending the cooperation until 2026, and now the Gunners want to do the same with Bukayo Saka, who is their most productive player this season.Steve G tells Saka to man up, after the youngster seeks protection from the refThe child has grown up and fully matured in football, and the Gunners are ready to reward him with a new contract (the current one expires in 2024), just 20 months after signing the first one. Sporting director Edu and coach Mikel Arteta  realize the importance of Saka and the interest from other bigger and more wealthier clubs, and they decided that this time, the youngster should get a four times bigger salary that he currently receives. For Saka, who is currently at the bottom of the payroll (19th out of the 16 highest paid players) with annual income of around 1,800,000 euros, 7,800,000 would mean that he would jump right at the fourth spot, behind only Thomas Partey, Alexander Lacazette and Nicolas Pepe, and let’s not forget that Lacazette will leave the club at the end of the season. The club management finally realized that the future under Arteta looks bright. In fact, they are already experiencing success, as they are the most serious candidate for the fourth spot and the Champions League place from the Premier League, with 4 points more than Manchester United and three than Tottenham, with a game in hand. Together with Smith Rowe, Saha is on the top of the club’s scorers list with nine goals, and five assists, two less than Lacazette. In the games in which Saka scored goals this season, the team from North London has seven victories and only one defeat, and that is from Manchester City. You love to see it! Bukayo Saka learns just how much love and support the fans have for himHe has 28 appearances in the Premier League this season, and for the sake of comparison, he finished last season with 34 championship games, five goals and four assists. So, he has already significantly exceeded last year’s numbers, and while he is waiting to break the limit of double-digit goal-scoring performance in the League for the first time in his career, we can only state that he absolutely deserved the increase.
