Kenyan international Vincent Oburu is set to be further sidelined for four more weeks according to Zesco United’s head coach Numba Mumamba after sustaining an injury at the start of the month.The former Wazito FC forward sustained an injury during a league game against Konkola Blades on Saturday 5 March, a match that the Ndola-based side emerged victorious.Oburu ruled out of Cup quarter final with injurySpeaking in a pre-match press conference ahead of their clash against Green Eagles on Thursday 24 March, Mumamba revealed that Oburu will be out for another month.“Kalengo is back in training while Vincent Oburu is still out. Oburu has at least four more weeks on the sidelines. The coming back of Kalengo is a major boost to the team. He is an important player due to his leadership which we need at this crucial stage of the league,” said Mumamba.Oburu joined Zesco in the January transfer window from Wazito FC and hit the ground running bagging a goal and assist in the 2-1 win over Nkana FC back in February.Zesco will be out to revenge the two defeats suffered against Green Eagles one in the reverse league encounter and the other in the cup competition with Mumamba ephasizing on the significance of victory.Oburu off to a flying start in Zambia“This fixture adds more salt to the wound following the loss to them (Green Eagles) in the first league encounter and also in the Absa cup quarter-finals through penalties. I think it is time to make amends by collecting maximum points in this match.We have a team that can do the job for us. The team has stabilized, and we are positive we can go there and get maximum points looking at the last few games we have played in the league,” added Mumamba.
