Steve Biko has wished Mara Sugar FC well after his departure from the club was confirmed on Wednesday morning.The struggling National Super League (NSL) on Wednesday made the decision to cut ties with the former Muhoroni youth and AgroChemicals coach. This came after the weekend’s 2-2 draw against Gusii FC, a result that prolonged the team’s winless run to five games and remain firmly in the danger zone.“Mara Sugar can confirm the club has parted company with Head Coach Steve Biko. We would like to thank Biko for everything and wish him all the best moving forward. He went on to wish the Millers well in their forthcoming matches.“It was a mutual agreement with the club. We agreed to end our relationship and I want to thank the team for the opportunity they offered me and wish them well for the future, I pray that they start picking positive results soon,” he told Mozzart Sport.Biko however does not believe that his side has been performing badly, he believes that they were unlucky not to win some of their recent games.“I have been with the team since 2019 and I am proud to have led the team to the National Super League we had plans and hopes of moving to the top tier but unfortunately things did not work out. I cannot say that our performance has been bad; I think we have been doing well but we just did not manage to get a positive run of results, there are matches that we have been unlucky.
