The Sports Disputes Tribunal has put on ice Sofapaka’s clash against Ulinzi Stars that was rescheduled to Saturday 26th March after Batoto ba Mungu dashed to court to have the match postponed to allow their appeal to be heard.The 2009 Premier League champions were initially set to play Ulinzi Stars in January at the Nakuru ASK grounds but the match failed to kick off after Sofapaka raised concerns about the ill equipped ambulance provided by the Soldiers who were the home team.Sofapaka vow to give Saturday league match against Ulinzi wide berthThe FKF Caretaker Committee then ordered a replay of the clash on Saturday 25 March at the Kericho Green Stadium but the match will now be put on hold to allow Sofapaka’s case to be heard.A court order from the Sports Disputes Tribunal dated Friday 25 March revealed that the Sofapaka and Ulinzi Stars clash has been shelved until Sofapaka’s case has been heard.“That pending the hearing and determination of this Application interpartes before this Honourable Tribunal, an order be and is hereby issued staying the decision of the Respondent delivered Vide its letter of the 10th March 2022;That the Application and the Memorandum of Appeal be served upon the Respondents and the Interested Party by close of business today, 25th March 2022;” read the court order in part.”Give us minutes of the meeting!” Feisty Sofapaka slam the gauntlet at Caretaker CommitteeThe Court Order added that the matter be listed for mention for directions on Tuesday 25th March, 2022 at 2.30 pm or such other time as shall be indicated on the Tribunal’s cause list.Earlier on in the week Sofapaka had requested to be furnished with minutes from the FKF Caretaker Committee meeting that reached the decision to have the match replayed.
