Vihiga Bullets head coach, Juma Abdalla remains adamant that his team will beat the drop despite being eight points off the playoff spot with 12 league matches to go.Bullets have found the going tough in the FKF Premier League and risk dropping back to the second tier unless their fortunes change for the better in the next few weeks. They are tied at 12 points with bottom-placed Mathare United.Despite the struggles and what looks like a mission impossible ahead, Juma is positive and believes that at worst, they will finish in the 16th position in the FKF Premier League this campaign.”I strongly believe that we are soon going to get out of this relegation zone and secure automatic safety, at worst we will settle for a playoff spot but that’s if things don’t go as I project,” he told Mozzart Sport. In an earlier interview, the seasoned coach disclosed that he devised a plan to win at least three of their four matches that were played at their Bukhungu backyard in order to move away from eh red zone but they only managed one win over Talanta and lost to Nairobi City Stars, Kakamega Homeboyz and Nzoia Sugar and this, Juma says is a blow to their quest for survival.Bullets no longer deadly:Vihiga bullets 0-1 Nzoia Sugar FC. But that’s football, sometimes you plan and prepare really well for a game but other factors, some beyond your control go against you and you end up not getting the desired outcome, ” he added. The former Western Stima coach further believes that they have favorable matches lined up which he says is a positive thing in their survival fight.”When I look at our remaining fixtures, I think we have fairly good matches left. The only tough game remaining is the trip to Mombasa to play Bandari the rest I believe are matches that we can handle and we are going to do just that, from now until the end of the season, every game is a final, “he added.
