Alabama’s Polly Mack went wire-to-wire to win her first event at the recent Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic at the University of Georgia Golf Course. The fifth-year senior shot a 3-under 69 to finish the tournament at 3 under, the lone player under par.
Wake Forest’s Carolina Lopez-Chacarra and USC’s Amari Avery, two Augusta National Women’s Amateur competitors, finished T-2 at 1 over.
“We are very excited, but not surprised, that Polly is the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic individual champion,” said head coach Mic Potter via a release. “Polly has all the tools to become one of the top players in women’s golf, so this is only the beginning for her.”
