CAF officer dies in Nigerian stadium during World Cup qualifier

The Football Association of Zambia is mourning the demise of Dr Joseph Kabungo, a Zambian medical practitioner, who was serving as the Confederation of African Football’s Doping Officer in the World Cup play-off match pitting Nigeria and Ghana.No official communication has been provided on the cause of his death but reports from Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja after the match indicated that he was a victim of the chaos that erupted immediately after the match.@FAZFootball joins the rest of the football family in mourning the late Dr Joseph Kabungo. He was a dedicated and widely loved member of our football community and his impact was vast, having also been part of the 2012 AFCON winning team.
