One time Kenyan champions Sofapaka have parted ways with coach Ken Odhiambo after a run of poor results specifically in 2022 that has seen the team win only once in the 11 matches that they have played so far.With the former Bandari FC tactician gone, the club has announced that his assistant coach David Ouma will assume head coach duties with immediate effect, with the club’s management expected to give more communication later.In a statement on Wednesday morning, Batoto Ba Mungu confirmed the development, thanking the gaffer and wishing him better tidings ahead while maintaining that they will continue pushing for a top five finish this season.The official statement read;Sofapaka FC would like to announce that we have parted ways with the Head Coach Mr Ken Odhiambo on mutual consent. Mr David Ouma has been elevated to the Position of the Head Coach with immediate effect.The club would like to thank Coach Ken Odhiambo for his time with Sofapaka Fc and wishes him all the best in his future endeavors.In the interim, the club will continue the fight to end the season in the top 5 of the league.The president and the club will make further announcements about the issue in due course.In the current campaign, Sofapaka have only won six games after playing 23, drawing nine and losing seven, a performance that has left them in the bottom half of the log at position 13 with 27 points.
