FKF Presidential aspirants and Kenya football legends want Titus Kasuve ousted from the Football Kenya Federation Caretaker Committee, deeming him unfit to be part of the Rtd Justice Aaron Ringera led committee as he is purportedly colluding to serve the interest of the former FKF officials. In addition to the removal of Kasuve from the Committee, the aspirants further wants the Caretaker Committee gazetted as a normalization committee in consultation with FIFA, barely hours after the global football body ratified Kenya’s suspension.”The CS immediately removes Mr. KASUVE and others working against the course of the Caretaker Committee”- FKF Presidential Aspirants Joint Statement.— Ole Teya (@Kevin_teya) March 31, 2022 In a joint statement, Twaha Mbarak, Sammy Sholei, and Milton Nyakundi alongside the legends represented by AFC Leopards great Josephat ‘Controller’ Murila called on the Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Amb. Amina Mohammed, to reconsider Kasuve’s appointment and move in quickly to have him removed from the committee. This is not the first time that Ksuve is being thrown in the spotlight as the Nairobi County Football Association also called for his removal at the beginning of March, citing three instances in which they thought Kasuve is not serving the interest of the Caretaker Committee as the basis for why they are pushing to have him removed from the committee.Nairobi County Football Association wants Titus Kasuve removed from FKF Caretaker CommitteeThe aspirants also proposed an electoral roadmap that they want the Caretaker Committee to adopt as they aim to have elections conducted as soon as possible and the football mandate transferred to a new regime.Excerpt on the proposals by the aspirantsIn reiterating our support for the government agenda to reform football against all odds, we propose the following as the way forward:1. That the CS immediately removes Mr. Kasuve and others working against the course from the Caretaker Committee for working against the course the government is pursuing and gazette the committee as a normalization committee in consultation with FIFA.2. That the Caretaker Committee immediately adopts the roadmap we have proposed and engage with stakeholders with a view to concluding the electoral process so that football is handed over to a leadership that has both the passion and the purpose.3. That the CS briefs the country on progress of talks with FIFA as a way of clearing the anxiety of the millions of Kenyans that want to know what is going on.
