Mudavadi resumes training ahead of Ulinzi’s visit

Kakamega Homeboyz head coach Bernard Mwalala can sit pretty ahead of this weekend’s Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) match against Ulinzi Stars as his assistant captain Moses Mudavadi has passed the fitness test.Mudavadi was withdrawn in the second half during their 1-0 win over the Soldiers almost three weeks ago at Thika Stadium with a rib injury that was initially feared could potentially keep him out for a while.Kakamega Homeboyz midfielder Moses Mudavadi is the club’s February player of the month pic.twitter.com/c895jxtgt7— Meshack Kisenge (@kisengemeshack1) March 9, 2022 However, Mwalala is certainly happy that the influential midfielder did not miss a league match as the competition that resumes this weekend has been on a break for two weeks.Mudavadi joined the rest in training on Wednesday and will be looking to be fully ready when they host the struggling Ulinzi at Bukhungu Stadium on Saturday.”I am back on my feet after almost two weeks on the sideline. I trained with the rest on Wednesday after the doctor cleared me and I am looking forward to helping the team beat Ulinzi again,” he revealed. The February Homeboyz player of the month award recipient cautioned his teammates against underrating Ulinzi and dropping the guard in the remaining rounds.Kakamega Homeboyz assistant captain, Moses Mudavadi swinging his gadget.Hana mambo mob, yake ni ball tu#FKFPL pic.twitter.com/vg6q4PQOvB— Ole Teya (@Kevin_teya) September 26, 2021 Ulinzi who are shockingly placed in the bottom half of the log have won a paltry six games this season but at least boast of the second meanest defence after Tusker as they have conceded 16 times in 21 matches. Tusker have let in 13 goals while KCB have also picked the ball from their net 16 times. From child labour to football stardom – This is Moses Mudavadi’s story”We have to approach each match as a final regardless of the calibre of the opponent we are facing. We have no reason to underrate any opponent neither should we get carried away by the early title talks,” he observed.
