Cash-strapped NSL side begs players to foot travel costs to Mumias

Financially handicapped National Super League side, Dandora Love has now urged players to fund their trip to Mumias where they are set to play Vihiga United in a National Super League (NSL) Match on Sunday afternoon.Just like many other teams both in the top tier and the lower leagues, Dandora are facing financial challenges with no sponsor currently onboard and the little grants from the government cannot fully run the club.To avert the risk of issuing a walkover on Sunday, the club now wants the players to cater for their won fairs to and back from Mumias with the promise that they will be reimbursed next week when the FKF Caretaker Committee releases the monthly grants.National Super League side, Mt. I regret to inform you that our office is financially unable to sponsor us for the match against Vihiga United at the Mumias Sports Complex. I, therefore, request if you (players) can use fares from your own pocket to travel to and from Mumias thereafter you will be refunded next week when the government grant is out. Kindly inbox me if you are ready to cater for your expenses. Thank you,” read a message from a club official. The team is currently 14th in the log with 23 points after 18 rounds of league matches.
