No away win since August and a striker who is a fashion icon: Everton are in trouble

Problems are piling up at the worst possible moment for Everton. It’s like the results crisis is not bad enough, the Toffies are now faced with other problems, like a dangerous schedule in their quest for Premier League survival and the general state of the club which can now expect to be sued by other clubs in the division, due to their enormous financial losses. Everton are all but an elite team, apart from one thing: along with Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham and Chelsea, they have never been relegated from the Premier League. But their latest form and brutal schedule might change that. They are facing Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal in the upcoming games before the season ends.Frank Lampard’s new managerial record ⤵️He is the first Everton manager in #PL history to lose his first four away matches 😬 pic.twitter.com/HSqoxGs3RM— GOAL Asia (@Goal_Asia_) April 3, 2022 Frank Lampard is the manager of a team which lost five out of their last six games, and who is travelling to an unpleasant Burnley, who are also looking to get out of the bottom three. Everton currently sits just three points above the drop, but have two games in hand over Watford, who sit directly below them. After this Wednesday match, the Toffies will have to play against Manchester on Saturday with an early kickoff, which didn’t sit well with Lampard.“I don’t know how, but we’ve managed to be asked to play three games from Sunday, to Wednesday evening, to Saturday morning. We’ve got the short straw this week” said former Chelsea manager.Seven Kenyan wonder kids in European academiesAnd although he is worried about his player’s freshness and fitness, that should be the least of his problems. Everton have a performance crisis, they don’t have the team spirit and they don’t have a philosophy. There are already rumblings in the team about Lampard and his managerial skills. The performances and defensive vulnerability are also something connected to Frank and his tactical changes. He does have some injured and older defenders, that has to be said, but he also didn’t address those issues but rather bought Donny Van De Beek and Dele Alli in January. Neither is performing well, especially former Spurs midfielder, who shares the same agent as Lampard.Calvert-Lewin to Arsenal? Revival of his form and filling in the void left by AubameyangEverton will be without Michael Keane and Allan, (suspended due to yellow cards), while Nathan Patterson will be out for a certain period of time due to injury, and he joins already sidelined Yerry Mina, Donny Van De Beek, and Andros Townsend. Everton also misses it’s strikers. During the last 6 Premier League games, whey scored only 2 goals (while receiving 11), and their best striker is finally back, but it’s still not working for him.“I am more than happy to be a standard-bearer for new flamboyance.”@Everton striker @CalvertLewin14 is bringing fashion back to football.#GQHype interview: https://t.co/HOCQLb56oj pic.twitter.com/sjtg5VeUvn— British GQ (@BritishGQ) April 4, 2022 Dominic Calvert-Lewin hasn’t scored a goal since August (and that’s the last time Everton won an away game), spend a good amount of time on the treatment table, but instead of putting his head down and practice, he chose to pose for the latest issue GQ magazine.“Wearing clothes and suits that divide opinion is what I like doing, so I’m going to continue doing it” he said after the magazine came out. What a timing. And Burnley coach Shawn Dyche is licking his chops ahead of match with this Everton team.PREMIER LEAGUE Rescheduled game of the Round 19Wednesday 21:30 BURNLEY – EVERTON
