Chilly weather at 2022 Masters Tournament brings out mittens, hats for third round

The 2022 Masters has been an eventful week, not only for some of the amazing on-course action but also the changing weather.

The week started out just fine but then some rain came in and led to a weather-shortened Tuesday practice round. Wednesday’s Par 3 Contest was also shortened by rain. Friday’s second round saw strong gusts throughout the day.

Then came Saturday, which proved to be the coldest day of the week at Augusta National Golf Club. It was about 51 degrees when the leaders teed off at just before 3 p.m. ET. The high temp was expected to be 57 according to weather.com.

That brought out sweaters, beanies, mittens, for the golfers and fans alike. Check out some photos of a chilly third round at the Masters.
