Brian Yakhama came off the bench to rescue a point for FC Talanta as they played to a one-all draw with Kenya Police FC at Kasarani Annex on Saturday afternoon.Duncan Otieno drew first blood in favor of Police with a meticulous long range in the second half, before Yakhama made it level with minutes to spare.Duke Abuya had the best chance of the game in the first half after being played through by Clifton Miheso but he was denied by the post.Miheso had picked the ball after Shela Mandela’s attempt to have the ball remain in the field of play, but only managed to leave it for the attacker who then played it into the box for AbuyaTalanta were missing a couple of their first team players, with Francis Kahiro and Michael Bodo missing out as Alvin Ochieng started from the bench.Police had the most chances in the first half with Elvis Rupia and Miheso having the lions share while Edwin Lavatsa had the go at goal for Talanta.However, none of them could find the back of the net and had to go into the break level.After the break, Kem Kenyatta introduced Alvin Ochieng on the right side of the defense in an attempt to stop the marauding Miheso.Police took the lead 69 minutes in through Duncan Otieno with his long range effort from the halfway line, managing to get the better of Talanta’s custodian.Leading the game, Police changed their firepower as Clinton Kinanga came on for Rupia who was a little off color in the second half.Brian Yakhama, just minutes after coming on, headed home form a Rodgers Obworia’s corner with two minutes left to play.The two sides will now face off again in the return leg.
