Muluya demands character from Sharks in remaining nine matches

Kariobangi Sharks head coach William Muluya has called on his side to show some character in their remaining nine games of the season as the 2021/2022 Football Kenya Federation Premier League campaign draws to a close.Over the weekend, the 2018 cup champions continued with their inconsistency since the year started as they failed to make it back to back wins for the first time this year despite being well primed to do so.KCB stage incredible fightback to hold Sharks after conceding two first half goalsIn that game against KCB, Sharks let slip a two goal advantage as they conceded two second half goals to settle for a draw against the Bankers. With the stalemate, the club had now only seen one win in their last seven games (D4 L2), leaving them in eighth position on the log on 38 points, fifteen behind log leading Kakamega Homeboyz.”We have to appreciate the fact that our opponents came back stronger in the second half. We still have a long way to go since it is that time that we need to have a lot of concentration basically with 9 games to go because we play them again next weekend, now is when the aspect of character proves to be vital,” the coach is quoted on the club’s website.📸 K-Sharks 🆚 KCB gallery.🤝 @Betway_KE #WeAreSharks #BetwaySharks pic.twitter.com/GsMLKMva6s— Kariobangi Sharks FC (@k_sharksfc) April 10, 2022 Having slipped in that last outing, Muluya’s troops have a chance at immediate redemption as they still face the Bankers in their next clash this weekend. As things stand, KCB are just a point ahead of Sharks as they sit in seventh on the log themselves, a far cry of their performance last season where they were wrestling for the title against eventual champions Tusker at this point last season.
