Tanzania will hold the 44th Confederation of African Football (CAF) Ordinary General Assembly in August, Tanzania Football Federation has confirmed.The annual meeting is set to take place in Arusha, Tanzania on August 10th, 2022, with a formal notification containing the agenda of the General Assembly set to be dispatched with the agenda of the assembly.Taarifa kutoka Shirikisho la Mpira wa Miguu Tanzania (TFF)@tplboard @azamtvtz @tanfootball @taifastars_ @CAF_Media pic.twitter.com/5KMTW6o9Ox— TFF TANZANIA (@Tanfootball) April 11, 2022 In a statement on Monday, TFF said that CAF’s Executive Committee had exercised its mandate to decide the date and venue of the General Assembly meeting according to a letter ent to them and signed by CAF Secretary General Veron Mosengo-Omba.The Secretary-General communique to member associations was further quoted on CECAFA’s official portal saying that CAF Executive Committee resolved on Sunday to have the meeting held on Sunday.“We kindly inform you that on 10th April 2022 the CAF Executive agreed by round-robin resolution that the 44th CAF Ordinary Assembly will be held on August 10th in Arusha, Tanzania,” part of Mosengo-Omba’s communication to Member Associations read.Kenya to miss representation at CECAFA AGMIn February this year, the Ordinary Assembly of the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) was hosted in Arusha as well, with the CAF Secretary General Mosengo-Omba gracing the event.Kenya missed representation at the CECAFA General Assembly, and will most likely miss CAF’s in August if the current impulse continues with FIFA recently ratifying FKF’s suspension.
