AFC Leopards head coach Patrick Aussems says his team’s return leg clash against Wazito scheduled for Monday at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani will be a totally different game as they will be playing at a stadium with a good playing surface. The two teams faced off in Thika on Sunday after the first leg where Leopards came from a goal down to beat Wazito 2-1. James Kinyanjui had given Wazito the lead before goals from John Makwata and Ojo Olaniyi helped Ingwe turn the match in their favor.Away from the result, Leopards’ style of play in Thika was not what fans have been accustomed to this season. They abandoned their style of play and opted for the long balls and runs and according to Aussems, they had to switch because the playing surface was not conducive for their passing game.Due to this miserable pitch we had to change our play’s style . Big frustration !! But the most important is the victory ! Special thanks to our fans who came in large numbers in an away game ! I hope to see you even more on Friday ! pic.twitter.com/7tfgrbByci— Patrick Aussems (@PatrickAussems) April 10, 2022 “I knew before that it would be a difficult game because we played in a shit pitch and we could not play our football, our style and so we changed totally by playing long balls,” the tactician said.On Monday, he anticipates a better game from his players because they will be hosting the match at a better facility.“It will be totally different because we will be playing on a good pitch and so we will be able to play our real football and not this stupid kick and rush game,” he added. The match will kick off at 3 PM.
