Kenya Police FC head coach Sammy Omolo had admitted that he has been left with a thin squad for the remaining matches of the season after five players joined the police force.Five key Police players are currently undergoing police training meaning the team is short of five players and will have to find a way of surviving in the remaining nine matches before the season comes to a close in June.In an interview, Omolo admitted that it will be a challenge to work with a weakened squad but challenged the fringe players to step up and deliver in the absence of the star players.Kenya Police FC midfielder Duncan Otieno scored some worldie against FC Talanta.He has been hitting them hard since 2013.#FKFPL pic.twitter.com/EuC8EYWY3b— Ole Teya (@Kevin_teya) April 10, 2022 “We lost around five players who moved to the disciplined forces and that leaves us with a very thin squad for the remaining nine matches of the season it is a challenge but we will try to manage it well, I am confident that we will do well in the remaining games. It is also a chance for the players who have not been playing more to step up and show their quality,” he told Mozzart Sport.Omolo, who joined the team last month, has been in charge of the team for four games. He started with a great 2-0 win over Gor Mahia in Kisumu the followed it with a one-all draw against AFC Leopards. The return leg clash against Leopards was however one to forget as they got trashed 3-0 by prowling Ingwe.Their latest game against FC Talanta ended in a one-all draw. The two teams meet again on Saturday at the Ruaraka Grounds for the return leg.
