The Romans against the Vikings, chapter four

Roma have tried to beat Bodo/Glimt three times this season and failed miserably. The Giallorossi and the Norwegian side have sparked a surprise rivalry this season, all stemming from Bodo/Glimt’s amazing 6-1 win at home in the first half of the season. After that, Roma boss Jose Mourinho had to settle for two draws against their newly-found Scandinavian foes. Last week in Norway, the rivalry took a turn to the ugly. An incident took place between Roma goalkeeping coach Nuno Santos and Bodo/Glimt head coach Kjetil Knutsen. Both have been suspended for tomorrow’s match by UEFA due to the situation.🟡 𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗗 𝗢𝗨𝗧 🔴 Thursday’s home game against Bodo/Glimt will be at full capacity! 🏟️🐺 Forza Roma! 🐺#ASRoma #UECL pic.twitter.com/1WqtS0YKsm— ASRomaTifoso🐺 (@onlyasroma) April 14, 2022 During the match press conference, Mourinho refused to engage when reporters pressed him regarding the situation. But the Norwegian fans didn’t remain silent and they sent an open letter to the Roma ultras, seemingly fearing a backslash and violent outbursts from the Italians.”Dear supporters of Roma, we will play each other on Thursday night in a football match. Many of our Norwegian supporter subjects from Sor-Norge are worried that there may be a lot of fighting and stabbing between us, so hear our plea. Through many years we have shared so much. Our friendship and collaboration goes all the way back to King Sverre. So, let our fight it out on the pitch, and outside the dressing rooms if need be, and be friends before and after the game.”Roma fans, on their part, have focused on disrupting the visiting team’s focus ahead of the match. After finding out in which hotel the Norwegians are staying, they posted the information online, urging anyone who drives by the hotel at night to use their horns and keep the visitors awake.Roma fans are circulating this poster after finding out where Bodo are lodged:“If by chance anyone passes by these parts between 11pm-5am the next two nights and wanted to test if their car horn works…”#RomaBodo pic.twitter.com/Wptmjx2bim— Wayne Girard (@WayneinRome) April 13, 2022 The last time these two teams met in the Italian capital, the result was 2-2. At the time, it was seen as yet another Roma’s failure. Tonight, it wouldn’t be enough, however. Roma simply have to win.EUROPA CONFERENCE LEAGUEQuarter-final, second legThursday19.45: (2.15) PSV (3.50) Leicester (3.60) /first leg 0-0/22.00: (3.40) PAOK (3.25) Olympique Marseille (2.35) /first leg 1-2/22.00: (3.00) Slavia Praha (3.50) Feyenoord (2.45) /first leg 3-3/22.00: (1.42) Roma (5.30) Bodo (8.00) /first leg 1-2/***odds are subject to change
