Looking for a place to work on your game, but need a little room to spread out as well?
Dig deep into your bank account and come up with an offer for Mark Walhberg’s mansion, which recently hit the market for the tidy sum of $87.5 million, which — if Wahlberg gets his asking price — would be the second most expensive home sale in Southern California this year. And considering the housing market, that’s an impressive accomplishment.
The home, which is located in the Beverly Park neighborhood near Hollywood, is on a six-acre lot that the former rapper and major movie star purchased for $8.25 million in 2009. It’s a sprawling complex of more than 30,000 square feet, complete with 20 bathrooms. Room for your whole Funky Bunch.
Jack Flemming of the Los Angeles Times described the home this way:
” … while many of the top spots are occupied by boxy, modern spec mansions, Wahlberg’s place stands on its own as a European-style showplace that mixes Old World style with an abundance of modern amenities.”
Among those who also live in the neighborhood are Sofia Vergara, The Rock, Eddie Murphy, and Justin Bieber.
And while the amenities are incredible — an outdoor skate park, movie theater with seating for a dozen or more, and a full grotto — the highlight for us is a five-hole golf course, one that housed a challenge between Wahlburg and Abe Ancer last year.
