Felix Oluoch sunk a brace to inspire Kariobangi Sharks to a 2-0 win over a stuttering KCB in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League match staged at the Kasarani Annex.Oluoch who is chasing the ‘Golden Boot ‘ struck in either halves found the back of the net to see his side get back to the winning lane after playing the same side to a 2-2 draw last weekend.Sharks took control of the proceedings from onset but still struggled to execute their style of play as KCB made the spaces tight and made electric runs through the wings.Patilah Omoto stung the hands of David Okello in the eight minute from.the edge of the box after his namesake Fortune Omoto had been caught late by KCB’s Brian Ochieng.Two minutes later, Eric Mata was put through by Omoto but a quick intervention by Nashon Alembi impeded the forward from pulling the trigger.KCB who over relied on John Mwangi to open up the defence had the first sniff at goal in the 12th minute when the latter squared the ball to the path of Derrick Otanga who shot straight to the hands of John Otieno. Mwangi who would swap places with Michael Oduor was lively on the flanks but developed cold feet after a series of body checks.The game was halted for a couple of minutes towards the end of the first quarter after Mata went down unchallenged but was cleared to carry on by the medics.Sharks went ahead in the 38th minute through Felix Oluoch who rose high to nod in a well weighted cross by Frédéric Alushula.Alushula who had a difficult time in taming Mwangi made a run from a counterattack before picking Oluoch who was sandwiched between Brian Ochieng and Alembi.KCB would have drawn level innthe dying minutes of the half from the spot but Otanga wasted the glorious opportunity as he casually send the ball to Otieno’s palms. The bankers had been awarded the spotkick after the referee adjudged that a Sharks player had handled a shot from Mwangi in the box.Mwangi would have drawn KCB level seconds into the second half after he collected a loose ball into the box but his first touch let him down as the ball rolled out of target.Alushula also flapped a clear chance on the other five minutes into the half after the ball ricochoted off the woodwork but his supposed tap in into an empty net flew over the bar.Sharks were forced into their first change in the 60th minute where Fortune Omoto left the pitch injured with his place taken by Geoffrey Onyango. They would make the second one seven minutes later, with Isaac Wasambo coming in for Douglas Mokaya.A quick encounter in the 70th minute caught the KCB defence flat footed as Masaba evaded a number of hurdles to tee Oluoch up who tapped in the ball to complete his brace.Shortly after conceding, KCB made double changes where Henry Onyango and Michael Oduor came off for Mohamed Kilume and Reagan Otieno.
