Rejuvenated FKF Premier League sides AFC Leopards clash with their woeful counterparts Wazito FC on Monday at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani with the outcome holding a lot of significance to both clubs.Leopards are looking to maintain their upward trajectory with a top five finish very much their target while Wazito are fighting for their lifeline.The two sides met a week ago at the Thika Sub-County Stadium where an Ojo Olaniyi late goal helped Leopards pick a 2-1 after recovering from an early setback. James Kinyanjui had given Wazito an early lead before John Makwata leveled things for halftime parity.The Thika match was a closely fought one and the return leg is equally expected to be a tight affair with both teams keen on bagging maximum points. Leopards want to keep moving up in the log while Wazito are keen on kick-starting their survival bid after going down in their last five league games.Leopards coach Patrick Aussems last week promised fireworks in Kasarani after complaining over the state of the Thika pitch.“It will be totally different because we will be playing on a good pitch and so we will be able to play our real football and not this stupid kick and rush game,” Aussems stated.We will take on AFC Leopards on Monday afternoon.#Wazito4life pic.twitter.com/hFJwVQFEEm— Wazito Football Club (@wazitofc) April 15, 2022 On his part, Wazito coach Fred Ambani wants his side to start taking the numerous chances that they create in matches.“We are creating too many chances which we do not convert and in the end we get punished, late on in the game and it is a trend that we need to bring to an end, we must start taking these chances,” he stated.“Like in the game against Leopards, we had very good chances after taking the lead it could have easily been 3-0 before they scored but because we did not utilize them we got punished and in the end lost the game. We have been working on our finishing in training and we will keep doing it but it is upon the attacking players to start taking these chances,” he added.The match starts at 3PM.
