The two teams had met a week earlier for the first leg in Thika where Ingwe came from a goal down to win 2-1.AFC Leopards got to a dream start when they won a penalty in the third minute of the game after keeper Zamu Adisa was adjudged to have fouled John Makwata in the area, a penalty was awarded from which Makwata scored. Makatwa had another opportunity in the 9th minute but his shot was blocked by Wazito defenders.Wazito slowly grew in the game and had a first opportunity in on goal in the 11th minute, through Fidel Origa whose shot was saved by Leopards keeper Levis Opiyo. Next was Michael Owino at the quarter hour mark but his header went over the bar. Tyson Otieno had a go on Leopards goal in the 19th minute but Opiyo once again stood tall, denying him.Leopards’ looked dangerous on the transition and a quick break in the 28th minute nearly bore a second goal. Makatwa raced towards goal before squaring the ball to an unmarked Cliff Nyakeya who missed the ball altogether. A minute later a superb block from Rooney Onyango denied the winger who was through on goal. The chances continued to trickle and Elly Asieche should have drawn Wazito level in the 35th minute when he was picked by Rooney in the area, he however headed wide whilst unmarked in the area. He was replaced by Robert Mudenyu.After getting the leveler, Wazito went for the kill, Levis Opiyo pulled a great save in the 50th minute to deny Michael Owino from close range. Opiyo pulled another save moments later to deny Tyson Otieno.Wazito had one late chance to seal it through substitute Curtis Wekesa but his final shot went wildly wide with only Opiyo to beat.
