Wazito FC head coach Fred Ambani is confident that his team will get out of the red line after they ended their five-match losing streak on Monday with a one-all draw against AFC Leopards at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani.Eli Asieche’s second-half strike canceled out a John Makwata early goal from the spot to ensure that the two teams shared the spoils in a match that Wazito will feel they would have picked more than just a point had they taken the numerous good opportunities that they created against Patrick Aussems’ side that was not at its usual best.FTAFC Leopards 1-1 Wazito FCThe hosts rescue a point. #Wazito4life pic.twitter.com/q4yz0kqomO— Wazito Football Club (@wazitofc) April 18, 2022 Wazito remain 16th in the table with 21 points after 26 rounds of league matches and risks the drop if their fortunes do not change for the better but Ambani is positive that they will get out of that area soon. He says the fighting spirit and commitment shown by the team leaves him with confidence that they will exit the wrong end of the table soon.“We need to get out of that danger zone. We are in the 16th position but when you see how we are playing, there is hope that we will get out of that area. If we were playing badly then I would have thrown in the towel but right now we are playing very well, the commitment fighting spirit from the players is there, we are creating many chances, dominating games and I believe that it is just a matter of a few games before we get out of that danger zone,” the former Kenyan international said.Missing easy chances has been Wazito’s story in recent weeks and months and in the end, they have been made to pay for it when opponents score late winning goals. The tactician admits that it is a concern but added that they will keep working on it in training.Easter holiday done and dusted. We went for maximum points but got only a draw. We got outplayed in the most part of the second half 🤦… We go again next weekend against Tusker FC#OURSFOREVER #INGWE 💪💪💪💪💪💪 Never give up. @AFCLeopards pic.twitter.com/P1hvfIzffE— kelvin omuka (@kelvinomuka) April 18, 2022 “We will go back to basics, talk to these players and try to show them what to do in different situations. And also scoring or not scoring sometimes has to do with the confidence of the player and we will try to uplift them. I am happy that we are creating the chances so we just need to improve on our finishing and we will be good to go,” he added.Next for Wazito is a home match against FC Talanta on Saturday at the Kasarani Annex.
