AFC Leopards looking to complete rare double against Tusker

Since 2009, AFC Leopards are yet to manage the league double over Tusker FC but have a chance to do so on Sunday when the two sides renew their rivalry in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) clash.Ingwe stunned the Brewers 1-0 in the opening game of the season with a depleted squad after a mass exodus was witnessed in the squad that left youngsters to fight for the team.2.10 Tusker 3.00 AFC Leopards 3.70🗓️| Up next, it’s a hunt for the Leopard at Kasarani. #KenyaMilele| #Brewers4Life pic.twitter.com/lfAB2ZERdO— 🏆Tusker FC (@tusker_fc) April 21, 2022 Despite frustrating draws along the road, AFC Leopards are enjoying an 11-game lossless streak that has seen them ascend to 10th on the log after battling on the wrong end of the table in the first half of the season.AFC Leopards custodian Levis Opiyo highlighted the rigorous preparations that they have undergone in the build-up to the Tusker game and is hoping they can get a win in the clash.“We have prepared well for the Tusker game, we have had good training this week, I hope that Sunday by God’s grace we will fight and get a win.We are still unbeaten and in training we have morale, I urge the fans to continue supporting us that they should not lose hope, the team is still young and strong, they should continue coming to the stadium,” said Levis. In Tusker, however, they will face a different beast who have gone 14 games without tasting defeat and possess a sturdy defense that has only shipped in two goals in the impressive run.The Brewers skipper Humphrey Mieno who assumed the captain’s armband following the departure of Eugene Asike noted that every game is a final as they look to retain the title they won last season.➡️ NEXT UP 📆 THIS SUNDAY 🏟 AT MOI INTERNATIONAL SPORTS CENTRE, KASARANI #Betsafe #OursForever #INGWE pic.twitter.com/pCRVyBuhEP— AFC Leopards (@AFCLeopards) April 23, 2022 “Right now we just need to focus on our matches because each match is a final.
