Wazito FC head coach Fred Ambani has once again lamented lethargy in his attack after his team went down to FC Talanta on Monday afternoon at the Kasarani Annex. Two second half goals from Edwin Lavatsa and Dennis Oalo further complicated Wazito’s quest to beat the drop. It is a game that they started strongly and had a couple of chances inside the first 20 minutes before Talanta switched the gears and made things hard for the hosts with their long-ball approach.Throwing away chances is slowly becoming Wazito’s story this season and in the end they pay for it when opponents take theirs and win games. On Monday, Ambani once again lamented his team’s wastefulness.“Our main problem is failing to nail our chances. We create many goal-scoring opportunities but we are not clinical enough to make them count,” the former Kenyan international who is currently nursing a fractured arm stated.FTWazito 0-2 FC Talanta#Wazito4life— Wazito Football Club (@wazitofc) April 25, 2022 Apart from throwing away chances, Ambani was equally concerned by how they defend. The second goal in particular was a miscommunication between defender Dennis Nandwa and keeper Zamu Adisa, an error that allowed Oalo seal the win for the visitors “It’s also important that we pay close attention to how we defend because at times we end up conceding easy goals,” he added.Wazito remain 16th in the log with 21 points. Their next assignment will be away to Bukhungu against league leaders Kakamega Homeboyz on Sunday 1 May.
