Vihiga Bullets FC head coach Juma Abdallah was left upset by his team’s performance in the 1-0 defeat to Posta Rangers on Saturday, a result that derailed their survival quest.A Brian Marita goal a minute before the break helped the Mail-Men pick a win from home and in the process completed a double over Juma’s men. It is a match that Bullets desperately wanted to win in order to boost their survival chances but in the end, things did not go their way.The tactician did not hide his disappointment at his team saying they were poor, particularly in the opening stages of the game. He believes that the change in kick-off-time could have played a part in the unpleasant show.“We played terribly. We started the game slowly, misplaced so many passes in the first half and I think maybe we were affected by the change in kick-off time, the match was initially set to start at 3 PM but kick-off time was changed to 1 PM and we did not go through our pre-match routine like eating together and having a meeting before taking to the pitch,” he stated.Tusker pile pressure on Homeboyz as Mathare fails to show up again 👀.Other resultsVihiga Bullets 0-1 Posta Rangers#kefootball pic.twitter.com/UVus0gOIHt— Kefootball_ (@Kefootball1) April 30, 2022 He also chided his charges for letting in an easy goal and throwing away what he believes were easy goal-scoring opportunities.“The goal that we conceded just before halftime was a scrappy one, we failed to clear a loose ball inside the area and Marita pocked home. In the second half we improved little because the players realized that we were losing the game but again we lost some easy chances and in the end, we lost,” he added.Despite the setback, Juma says they will have to pick themselves up and prepare well for their next league assignment against Kariobangi Sharks.“I am more disappointed by how we played than the result, the team that I saw on the pitch was totally alien to me. We did not stick to our game plan and generally, we made it easy for Posta Rangers. The result definitely is a blow to our survival fight but we will go back to the drawing board and plan for our next game,” he concluded.
