Nzoia Sugar FC head coach Salim Babu was critical of his team’s performance against Sofapaka on Sunday at the Kasarani Annex labeling it the worst performance since he took charge of the Bungoma-based Millers. The Millers suffered a 2-1 defeat in the hands of Batoto ba Mungu. It was the first away defeat the team had suffered since Babu took charge of the team at the end of January, this came despite them taking a lead in the second half.James Kibande opened the scoring in the 66th minute from the spot after Fredrick Odhiambo had brought down inside the area but in a matter of five minutes, the match had turned in Sofapaka’s favor. It started with a Roddy Manga goal in the 68th minute, a finish from close range, three minutes later he won a penalty which Lawrence Juma blasted home to turn the tie around. Juma would be dismissed two minutes later for a second bookable offence.Injured Osaka exits Madrid Open but Raducanu marches onBabu, who has suffered two losses as Nzoia Sugar coach did not mince his words in his post-match interview. He said that the performance was the worst he had witnessed since he took charge and hopes that they will put the horror show behind them and win their next league assignment on Sunday 8th May.”This is the worst display I have witnessed so far since I took charge of the team. We had a concentration lapse and relaxed a bit after netting our goal. Hopefully, we shall be able to right the wrongs and bounce back in our next fixture,” Babu said after the match.Next for Babu’s troops is a home match against Kenya Police FC at the Sudi Stadium in Bungoma.
