Kenyan international Ayub Timbe featured for 13 minutes as his side Buriram United fell to relegation bound Suphanburi 2-1 in the final match of Thai Premier League on Wednesday afternoon.The 29-year-old was introduced after 77 minutes for Supachok Sarachart when Buriram were already trailing 2-1 and could not inspire his side to even a draw to wrap up the season.It was a battle of two clubs in the extreme ends of the league standings, one at the top and one dropping to the lower tier for the coming season’s action but it was the relegated one that bowed out on a high.The Kenyan was on the scoresheet in their title-winning match, scoring just four minutes after being introduced as Buriram beat Nong Bua Pitchaya 3-0 to lift the Thai Premier League almost a month ago with a match to spare.The hosts had a dream start as they scored in the third minute through William Henrique to take the early lead, repeating the same terrific start in the second half where they scored after just 52 minutes to double the advantage, Henrique being on the end to complete his brace for the match.Ayub Timbe scores to win first career league titleBuriram grabbed one back through Congolese forward Jonathan Bolingi ten minutes later, but they could not find more to avoid defeat in their final game of the campaign.The Kenyan has managed two goals in the league, and two in cup competitions for Buriram United since joining the club earlier this year.
