Vihiga Bullets staged an unprecedented comeback from two goals down to beat Kariobangi Sharks 4-3 in an FKF Premier League match Kasarani Annex on Sunday afternoon.Patilah Omoto, Erick Mmata and Steve Otieno scored the goals for Sharks while Vincent Ogola grabbed a brace for the visitors with Robert Arrot and Philip Muchuma scoring the other goals.Vihiga Bullets’ Vincent Ogola is a gem. Erick Mmata was fouled just outside the box by Nickson Khalwale and the referee awarded a freekick which Patilah Omoto curled home.They continued to raid and won a penalty in the 17th minute when the referee ruled that Brian Ochieng had fouled Julius Masaba, Mmata stepping up to beat Elix Otieno from the spot for a 2-0 lead.Bullets stepped up after going 2-0 down and started to show some attacking threat. Ugandan Jessy Kajuba and Vincent Ogola were their main men upfront but they never troubled John Otieno on Sharks goal much. Their first real chance came in the 39th minute when Ogola was put through on goal but his shot with the keeper to beat went over. The visitors continued to show more ambition in the closing stages of the first half but they did get a breakthrough. Sharks took a 2-0 lead to the break.Four minutes into the second half, Bullets were awarded a penalty when Ogola was brought down inside the area. Substitute Robert Arrot stepped forward to take but his effort was saved by Sharks keeper Otieno. Six minutes later Ogola volleyed home after pouncing on a loose ball to halve the deficit.Second half After the leveler, Bullets started to push for more goals. Ogola in particular proved to be a big threat for Sharks defenders with his physical presence proving to be a problem for the hosts’ defenders.The youngster got his second of the game in the 69th minute when Kajuba put the striker through for his second of the game.A quick break from Sharks saw them restore their lead in the 78th minute through substitute Steve Otieno who beat Elix who a lovely left-foot stunner. The advantage however lasted for just four minutes before Robert Arrot redeemed himself with a cool finish from inside the penalty area.
