Kariobangi Sharks will be seeking to dent Vihiga Bullets’ survival hopes when the two teams meet at the Kasarani Annex on Sunday afternoon. The teams were initially set to face off on Saturday but the match has had to be pushed to Sunday due to the match venue’s unavailability.Sharks are sixth in the log with 45 points and many would argue that this has been a good performance from the side this campaign after the massive rebuilding exercise that was witnessed at the club before the start of the season after nearly 15, most key players exited.Bullets on the other hand occupy the relegation area, they are 17th in the table with 20 points and badly need to get a win against Sharks to boost their chances of remaining in the top tier after last weekend’s hoe defeat in the hands of Posta Rangers.Attention shifts to Vihiga Bullets.🤝 @Betway_KE#WeAreSharks #BetwaySharks pic.twitter.com/Z3DhExq1o5— Kariobangi Sharks FC (@k_sharksfc) May 6, 2022 Heading to the match, both sides have injury concerns for key players. Sharks will be without a key striker. Felix Oluoch who is also the league’s top striker, the forward picked an injury against Gor Mahia last weekend and will thus sit out of action today. Bullets on the other hand miss key defenders in suspended Nickson Khalwale and Vitalis Akumu who is away on compassionate leave.Sharks coach William Muluya is wary of the threat posed by the visitors.“Vihiga is a very tricky side, just look at how they have performed in recent matches, they have been gaining points and teams that have played them away besides Mathare who did not travel have found it rough. Wazito got a point away from home last weekend, Bullets is a team that should not be underrated. The game is going to be tighter than it was with Gor Mahia on Sunday,” he stated. His Bullets counterpart Juma Abdallah admits he will be facing a great side but is confident that they can get a result in the game.It is definitely going to be a tough game because as you know Sharks have been in great form this season, they have managed to get some good results and you expect them to put in a good fight. However, we also have everything to play for and that means we will go all out to get the points, we have prepared well, the boys know that we are playing for safety and I know that if we stick to our game plan, we will get something out of the game,” he stated.
