FC Talanta head coach Ken Kenyatta says that injuries are hurting his side and played a big part in them dropping points against KCB on Sunday at the Kasarani Annex.Talanta threw away a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with the Bankers. Dennis Oalo and Edwin Lavatsa had given the visitors a comfortable lead before they got pegged back by Enock Agwanda and John Mwangi strikes to ensure that points were shared. Both teams bounced back from defeats; Talanta had lost their last game to Tusker FC while KCB had gone down in their last three games.Against KCB, Talanta missed some key players – Barrack Odhiambo, defender Shela Mandela, striker Hassan Mohamed and midfielder Michael Bodo . All the players are sidelined with injuries and for Kenyatta, the growing injury list is hurting the team.”So many players are sidelined with injuries, my entire midfield is not there. The defence line is equally affected, I don’t have a number of players so many players have injuries and they have derailed us. We struggled much in the midfield department but we couldn’t make changes because we don’t have players,” he said. KCB, Talanta share the spoils at KasaraniOn the overall outcome of the game, the former Ushuru FC tactician said he was satisfied despite throwing away what looked like a comfortable lead.”I am happy with the result. You know football is a game of moments, we had our moments and scored two goals, they had theirs and scored and in the end we had to share the points. I cannot say I am disappointed because that’s how football is,” he added.Talanta’s season has been a satisfying one for a newly-promoted side. They have not been whipping boys in the league and have managed wins over top guns like Tusker and Sofapaka.
