Wazito FC head coach Fred Ambani is positive that his team will beat the drop with just five matches left before the season comes to a close. The team is currently occupying the 17th position in the table, four points adrift of Vihiga Bullets who occupy the playoff spot. Bullets’ shocking win over Sharks on Sunday and Wazito defeat to Nairobi City Stars on Monday further complicated their hopes of beating the drop.In the game against City Stars, the visitors were awarded a controversial penalty that helped them pick a 1-0 win at the Kasarani Annex. It is a decision that Ambani contested and further claimed that the referees have been hurting his side through contentious calls.FKFPL: Odera piles more misery on WazitoHow is this penalty? He believes he has the right quality of players to compete and secure their top-flight slot“As long as the officiating will be good, we will come out of the relegation zone. What we are witnessing right now is terrible and it must change – the federation must get competent people to handle games. We have four games left and if the officiating will be fair I can assure that we are not going to lose any of the four games. We have quality players, we are playing well and officials should just avoid a scenario where they decide games through poor officiating,” he said.Next for Wazito FC is an away game against Nzoia Sugar FC on Sunday 15 May at Sudi Stadium in Bungoma.
