Dubbed a consultative meeting, the group let by Murang’a Branch Chairman Robert Macharia, his Nyamira counterpart Luthers Mokua and Nairobi East’s Amos Otieno have called a meeting with eight agendas on the table. Among them is the election of an interim FKF National Executive Committee to oversee football activities in the country. The Caretaker and later Transition Committees came into place last November when Amina disbanded the FKF leadership led by Nick Mwendwa over alleged embezzlement of funds. She then handed the office to the Caretaker Committee for six months and now the Transition One for five weeks. Her action resulted in Kenyan getting suspended by FIFA and it cost Harambee Starlets an opportunity to qualify for the African Women Cup of Nations that starts in July in Morocco. Harambee Stars are also likely to be kicked out of 2023 AFCON Qualifiers as CAF had directed that the country ensures its suspension is lifted two weeks before Match Day One against Cameroon in Yaoundé. The match is penciled for 4th June.
