Tusker FC will be seeking to reduce Kakamega Homeboyz’s lead at the top to just one point when they host Nzoia Sugar in a league match later this afternoon.Homeboyz, dropped two crucial points when they played out to a one-all draw against Gor Mahia and a win on Sunday will see the gap between the two sides reduced to one point heading into the final three matches of the campaign.Nzoia on the other hand are winless in the last seven matches and in Tusker, they face a side that has not lost a league assignment since January, an indicator of the herculean task the Millers face at the Ruaraka Grounds. Both teams did not win their last league assignments. Tusker settled for a barren draw against Nairobi City Stars while the Millers suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Wazito at their Sudi Stadium backyard. When the two teams met in the first leg, Tusker managed to squeeze a 1-0 win courtesy of a Deogratious Ojok strike.⚽️| The boys working ahead of the home tie against Nzoia Sugar.#KenyaMilele #Brewers4Life pic.twitter.com/nR2zxh2g6b— 🏆Tusker FC (@tusker_fc) May 21, 2022 Tusker coach Robert Matano rued the points dropped against City Stars but wants his side to return to winning ways against the Millers.“We didn’t play well in the first half. We gave them too much respect . We made mistakes and wasted clear chances in the second half but that is behind us now, we have to focus on the game against Nzoia and try to get a win,” he stated. His opposite number Salim Babu wants to leave Ruaraka with all the points.“We are not under any pressure, they are. They are fighting for the league title and we know that they badly want to win it. We will go there, stick to our game plan and hopefully get all the points. I am confident that if we stick to our game plan, and play without any fear I am confident that we will leave Nairobi with at least one point,” he told Mozzart Sport. The match starts at 3 PM.
