Kakamega Homeboyz head coach Bernard Mwalala is contented with Francis Omondi’s contribution since his return from a lengthy layoff three weeks ago.The defensive midfielder had been out of action since November when he underwent an unspecified operation. After recovering and returning to training with the rest of the squad, he is now back into the team’s starting lineup. He has started in the last two games.His coach is happy to have the combative midfielder back and he is also glad that the player has seamlessly slotted back into the team and has put in some good display in the last three matches. Against Tusker he came off the bench and started our last two games against KCB and Gor Mahia and after such a long layoff I can say I am impressed. His quality is still there, brings that stability to the team and I am happy with him. I believe that with more games, he can only get better and we hope to see the best version of him in our last three games,” the tactician said.On the title race, the former Kenyan international maintains that they are in it until the final day of the season. Homeboyz are tied in points with defending champions, Tusker FC.“We have three games left before the season comes to an end and this is a race that will go all the way to the wire.
